the American University of Beirut has a lovely campus with buildings going back 100+ years.
A new building is almost complete on the upper campus (where the infirmary used to be) with quite a modern architecture. plus it contrasts with the buildings next to it.

I was able to complete a shower process for Lea, from A to Z, my first “successful” attempt in 2.5 years.

yes there was water everywhere, yes it took 45 minutes versus the 8 minutes of more experienced parents, yes as I write this I realize I should have cleaned behind her ears, yes it may or may not have been my fault she needed a shower in the first place due to caramel pudding in her hair and blue coloring on our face, yes she had to help me out during the process by pointing out which shampoo/towel is hers,…

BUT it was super fun, playful, singing, and smiling all the way through.
I am marking this as a milestone for me, creeping my way into parenthood one eventful incident at a time.

we are all guilty of googling our names…when I speak at conferences or give workshops, I usually ask that question and get a good show of hands and after a bit of nudging the others admit that they have googled themselves. we all have a narcissistic touch.

the trigger to this post is what I overheard this morning:

Part of why I always emphasize Social Media management when I travel and speak throughout the Middle East is what search engines reveal from Social Media data and what brands and digital citizens can show and emphasize as others search for them or their industries. a lot of the presentations I work on with the Think Media Labs team can be found on: http://slideshare.com/thinkmedialabs
